Access and Inclusion Coordinator
Jack Hort has an Access and Inclusion Coordinator who can provide information and advice to people with a disability to discuss ways to increase their access to the facilities and activities at Jack Hort.
Carers Card and the separate Companion Card are accepted at Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool. Speak to Jack Hort customer service for information.
Accessways and Parking
We have dedicated Disability Parking close to the main entrance of our facility.
Our centre foyer and change rooms are level to out carpark and have easy access.
Entrance
The entrance to Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool is accessible to people with various mobility requirements.
Kiosk
The kiosk is on the central level and is easily accessible.
Change Rooms and Showers
There is a large disabled/family change room at the end of our change room corridor. There is also ambient cubicles in both the male and female change rooms.
Pool Deck Access - Ramp
Jack Hort has a ramp that leads from the main foyer to pool deck. Jack Hort staff can help individuals down the ramp when needed. There is also a wheelchair onsite accessible to patrons who may feel unable or uncomfortable walking up and down the ramp. Please ask out staff for more details.
Pool Deck Access - Door
Our pool is covered by a presuraised dome. Due to this wheelchair accessibility is through door that require 2 staff member to open. If you need to use these doors please see staff.
Normal access is through the revolving door at the bottom of the ramp.
Pool Access
All our pools have step entries. There is a hoist for our 50 meter pool to help patrons unable to walk get into the pool.
There is no access to the other pools without using the steps.
